A veteran is one called upon to preserve the Union and give all men and women equal rights and liberty.

A veteran is one asked to shed his blood to give his life to defend his/her country after an infamous sneak attack against all we hold dear. Many to be left behind ... and be forgotten.

A veteran is one called upon to stem the tide of communism in a "Police Action;" many to be left behind ... and be forgotten.

A Veteran is one sent to fight a war that was not permitted to be won ... and be forgotten.

A Veteran is one subjected to a defoliant, Agent Orange, only to find that he/she cannot be justly treated and receive help ... help always given by us to those who are our enemies ... and be forgotten.

A Veteran is one who sees the benefits promised him/her by a "grateful nation," one by one, little by little, taken away ... and be forgotten.

A Veteran is left behind as a POW, or his/her remains left unattended in a foreign land.  To be forgotten by those who don't care.

A Veteran is one who serves for a hitch or a career, to keep America strong. To defend our Flag when called upon ... and be forgotten.

America has many who take their liberty and freedom for granted, because there is always a Veteran to step forward to defend her against all her enemies, whomsoever ... and be forgotten.

What is a Veteran? A Veteran is the one person this country has always needed and will always be there to keep America FREE. And soon forgotten!
