We returned to East Palo Alto and built the home I live in now. During those years I became involved in School PTA work, joined Community Association For Retarded, joined P.A.R.C.A./Special Olympics becoming the lunch coordinator with 2000 people to feed for 25 years for the Field and Track event held once a year. I joined the California Federated Woman's of East Palo Alto and later joined the Redwood City Club. Clyde joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars and I became a member of the Auxiliary Post 2310. I have been a member of the East Palo Alto Grange for 29 years. In 1993 Clyde founded the Veterans Employment Committee of San Mateo County and I became a charter member. The positions I hold at present are President VFW post 2310/Auxiliary, Chaplain for VFW District 12 Auxiliary, First Vice President for California Federated Woman's Club Past Presidents and Board Alumnae, Treasurer for California Federated Woman's Club of Redwood City, Correspondence Secretary for the Veterans Employment Committee of San Mateo County and member of East Palo Alto Grange #409. In November of 1996, 47 years to the day that he proposed, I lost my life's partner.
