Business Meeting Minutes: 4/20/09 - Monday and Monday - 9/4/2009.

Held at the VA Hospital in Menlo park at the Next Step Center, 795 Willow Road, Bldg.323A, Menlo Park, CA.

Meeting called to order:  Sheryl Shaffer led Pledge of Allegiance and welcome.  Roll called.

Others:  No other members were present.  We did not have enough members present at either meeting to conduct a quorum.

                                                                                                     

Minutes of last meeting:  Sheryl reminded everyone that all the minutes are posted on the web site.  www.vecsamnt.org. Just click on the Minutes link on the home page to view the minutes.  No minutes were read for the April meeting as not enough members were present.  These are combined minutes for the second (April) and third (September) quarterly regular scheduled meetings for 2009.

 

We had a round table discussion and did not conduct any formal business as not enough members were present at the April and September meetings for a quorum.

Correspondence:  We received the minutes from the S.C.V.E.C. 

Secretary/Treasurer Report:  Helen Wong reported account balances and submitted transaction reports.             

 Next Step Center: Rose Sutton gave us an informal update to new changes at the Next Step Center. 

World of Vets Report:  Excused.

 

County Veterans Service Officers Report:  None present.

 

E.E.D. Staff:  None present.

 

TV Show:  Sheryl Shaffer said she will the host on the show on in  April and September 2009 and Rose Sutton will host the show in June and October 2009. 

The 2010 Television schedule was planned and is posted online www.vecsamnet.org.  Rose and Sheryl will each host 5 shows per year.

 

FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER:  Helen Wong mentioned that the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 464 will have a booth at the July 4th parade in Redwood City

 

Please note that we meet once a quarter and that the next meeting date is Monday, November 16, 2009.  We encourage you to join us and participate as we would like to keep our VECSM going but we need you to help us. Please mark your calendar. The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
